I built glassmark from a desk in Helston, Cornwall.
That matters less than it sounds, and more than it sounds. Less because glassmark works for any business on the open web, anywhere. More because fifteen years of watching the visitor economy from the inside is what makes the audit any good.
glassmark scans your website and shows you what AI agents can and cannot understand about your business.
When someone asks ChatGPT, Perplexity, or Google AI Overviews where to stay, eat, or visit, those tools don't read your beautiful homepage the way a human does. They look for facts. Structured ones. The kind of facts most websites still hide behind JavaScript or bury in image files.
Most independent businesses score badly on this today. Their websites were built for humans clicking links, not agents reading data. glassmark tells you exactly where the gap is, in language you can hand to your developer or fix yourself.
I spent fifteen years building tourism technology. Co-founded Anytime Booking, scaled it nationally, exited in 2025. In that time I watched the internet change shape three or four times, and watched independent operators struggle to keep up with each new wave.
This wave is different. AI search is eating organic traffic at a rate that should worry every accommodation provider, restaurant, attraction, and supplier in the country. The hospitality industry already saw a 6.7% drop in organic traffic in late 2025. Most of the businesses I know personally still don't realise it's happening.
glassmark is the tool I wish operators had two years ago.
Anyone whose business depends on being human and local meaning something.
That's the visitor economy first: hotels, holiday cottages, restaurants, pubs, attractions, activity providers. It's also the supply network supporting them: the brewers, kitchen fitters, accountants, web developers, photographers, food suppliers, equipment maintenance, signage, laundries, cleaners. A typical visitor economy business has 30 to 50 suppliers behind it, and most of them are local businesses too.
If your customers ever ask 'near me', glassmark is built for you.
Helston, Cornwall. My office is small. My dog Teddy is usually in it. Loe Bar, ten minutes down the road, is my favourite lunchtime walk.
I work across the South West regularly. Devon and Somerset are short drives, and I'm often in both. I know the difference between a Padstow cottage owner and a Mousehole pub landlord. I've sat in enough Cornish, Devonian, and Somerset back offices to know what makes a small operator tick, what frustrates them about technology, and what they'd rather not have to think about. glassmark is built with that knowledge in the audit logic, not bolted on.
If you're a business in the South West and want to talk in person rather than over a screen, I'm happy to. That's a Cornwall thing more than a SaaS thing.
glassmark is a product of Fourteen Seed, my AI studio. I work alongside Laura Campbell, who brings years of tourism sector expertise from her Tourism Devon background and is helping shape how glassmark serves businesses that need more than a self-serve audit.
The first operators to test glassmark properly are a small validation cohort of businesses across the South West. They've shaped the audit by telling me what's useful and what's noise. I owe them most of what's right about this product.
It won't audit your social media, your Google Business Profile, or anything that lives behind a login. glassmark works on the open web, which is what you've already published, made readable for the next wave of visitors.
It also won't tell you it found nothing wrong. Most websites have plenty to fix. The first scan is the first read.
